We Secretly Cloned 4 People
What would it look like to meet yourself for the first time? Inspired by the idea of creating and capturing a first-of-its-kind encounter, I sought to make this moment possible for 4 people. This is an exploration of self interaction and discovery that unlocks a new way in which people perceive themselves for the first time ever, transforming the familiar into something wholly unknown.
From written pitch to final execution and editing, I was driven to create a moment where Artifical Intelligence could allow humans to experience something more human. Working closely with the technical director, we developed a way to have AI convincingly mimic specific individuals. The participants engaged unknowingly in text conversation with their digital selves and the results were better than we could have hoped for. As they say, life is stranger than fiction.
